What needs to be added to that? VAT, obviously, plus first reg fee of £25, anything else? Does a Cat1 alarm come on Euro MY03s?

If im not mistaken, when you you buy from Europe you dont have to pay VAT as it has already been paid at the country of purchase. VAT is only payable when bought outside EU ie Japan.

If you buy elsewhere in the EU then import to the UK, then you don't pay the country of purchase's VAT but you pay Customs & Excise VAT in the UK when you register it.

Gez- I think you do have to pay VAT on EU imports if Customs & Excise have anything to do with it - that £13 price will ber the VAT free price so add 17.5% = 15800ish plus any other agents fees etc

Cool

For 16K does it really matter? it is still **** loads cheaper than what they will cost in the UK.. And no it will not come with a CAT 1 alarm as AFAIK the thatcham thingy is not recognised in Europe, only in GB and the cars do not come with any sort of alarm.

I;ve been told that that is actually the price for the old MY02, and there has been no announcement of the new price - which won't be known until later in the year.

I've heard mutterings that there will be an increase, as there was from MY00 -> MY01 but I hope not!

The price of 21,995.00 Euro's is a speculative price that the official Benelux importer has offered to the dealers to enable them to place business.

At no point have EU dealers had "official" pricings for any new models before the price has been released in the UK, as it is not in the interests of FHI or other manufacturers to disadvantage the UK dealers by giving RHD pricing preference to dealers in non-RHD countries.

21,995.00 Euro's is the top level of the pricing and is subject to ongoing negotiations between the Benelux importer and FHI. After which it is possible that the official price will not be known till January.

If anyone knows different then please comment.

As for the pricing of the MY02 that Dark mentions, well the cheapest MY02 WRX's I bought were 19,700. Euro's, and they were well cheap cars.

regards

Stuart

As long as the situation for the MY02 where it was cheaper to buy a RHD WRX in Holland than a LHD is the same, the price should be good!
