Dunno what your scale is - it doesn't seem to be PSI or Bar - you have a point before the number or I would have had a go!

I believe negative pressure is the normal manifold vacuum. The air being sucked in off boost would have this vacuum effect on your guage, however when the turbo is FORCING air in you have a positive pressure.

Fitted one myself and it's very decorative! Can't look at it (and shouldn't) under full boost in lower gears - need those eyes, er lookin ahead! Guess it could help find a fault, should there be one.

D

Edited to fix a bad 'gague' spelling, but decided I give up forever on that word! Its too weird and ridiculously pronounced.

Question

Hi all,

Picked up my new MY01 WRX SportsWagon on Wednesday, my first scoobie, lovin' it.

I had the extra gauges fitted and I'm a bit unsure what the turbo gauge (marked from .15 to -.1) is telling me.

Is it the air pressure the turbo is producing in bar ? if so why would you get/want and negative pressure ??

Thanks for your in answering the lame question,

Richard.

PS I'll post some pictures to the Gallery shortly.
