Question

Anyone know of filling stations selling the stuff in the southern end of the Lakes as I'm drawing a big fat zilch looking round the web at the mo...

anyone still have the link to the site that gave the cheapest in an area? AFAIR you had to register on it

finding info through the petrol co.s sites is like finding rocking horse ****

TIA

DW thanks for the link - it does work

Flat4 - I was expecting some enormous prices

I've found a list of BP garages (but not on BP pages) and am plotting them on autoroute but they're "thinly spread" to say the least

It's bad enough round Yorkshire but up there

The Texaco station between Windermere and Ambleside sells SUL (or it did last time I was there) but it's more expensive than the Optimax at the Shell station in W'mere.

Slightly off topic but i came back from a weeks holiday in the lakes last sunday and whilst i was there i was reading a local paper which said that the local police had just started operating safety camera units and caught 237 people in the first week mostly in the north end near Wigston-Penrith and Carlise Be warned also watch out if you are going up the M6 as all the road works had either Gatso's, Spec,s or Camera safety Vans with Laser.

Had a great week but ruined a bit from my last visit by having to watch speedo and not road or scenary because of the police trying to earn tax revenue there as well.

Also got a copy of a survey at a national trust car park tea room about lowering the speed limit every where in the Lake district to 20-40 MPH with less car access and more public transport unusal to be asked! so tryed to put a positive view of the car.

Buy a bottle of NF octance booster and keep it in the car. Should be good for a few tankfulls if you can't find SUL.

Thanx for all the places - plotting time methinks

I'm going to be up in the Ambleside area for a few days later on and was trying to be forewarned when the orange light comes on as there looks to be a long way to push between garages
