Question

I'm going to make myself look like a right muppet here but I've had my MY97 since last Thursday and it's been bugging me ever since..

Does your Impreza Turbo make clicking and dripping noises when you switch off the ignition?
I would imagine it's the oil in the turbo cooling down etc but I thought it's better I know for sure by asking here (even if I do earn the crown of "Muppet of the Week".

Matt
P.S. I've always let it run for a couple of minutes after driving it before switching off the ignition, although I haven't really driven it hard yet as I'm still getting used to it.

Neanderthal,

don't worry it's perfectly normal to get those sounds. All cars do that, however it's more pronounced on scoobies.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Yes clicks and cracks! phew, I can sleep easy now.

Oh and YES it is great fun, everyone thinks I'm pleased to get to work all of a sudden cause I get out the car with a big grin on my face :-)

Alarming fuel consuption though, even if I was well aware of it before I brought one :-) Still, worth every penny!

Thanks for the reply

Matt
