How Many of You Wear Glasses?

I have noticed that what seems like the majority of Scoob drivers wear glasses. I don't mean shades either Maybe it is because:-
a) High % of eye-strained IT professionals drive Scoobies?
b) We are all a bit nerdy a la Adrian Mole?
c) We all scrutinise petrol/service/insurance receipts too much?
d) We are all getting on a bit and our eyes are not as sharp as they used to be?
e) I am actually hallucinating whilst driving?
f) All of the above?
Comments please.

Well I wear glasses for driving, but since owning the scooby I've noticed that the scenery is very blurred ....perhaps Prodrive do an upgraded set of lenses.
Probably d) in my case.

a).
Used to wear contacts, but the opticians kept getting upset when asking how long I wore them for:
'15-16 hours a day'
'that's not good, but how long do you wear them for on an average day?'
'that's an average day'
'you can't do that, no more than 8-10 hours'
I guess opticians have short days

£1000? Hmm, my new glasses cost me £230, so that leaves £770 for petrol.
Glasses it is then!
In answer to Uncle Tony's question, I'll go for...
a, b, c, d
ChrisB.

It is not usually an issue with plastic lenses, but there is a slight increased risk with glass lenses. So if any of you have got glass ones's, get 'em changed.
Once saw an amusing sight where guy thought he was so cool driving with one hand rested on centre of steering wheel. Next thing he was in a head-on crash (Not his fault). Next thing air bag deployed, and he proceded to whack himself in the mouth with his right hand. I nearly pi55ed myself when he explained his severe facial injuries and broken jaw Got to see the funny side.

It depends what you do to set the airbags off.
Not had a crash, but have set them off doing a "Dukes of Hazzard" over a hump back bridge. Grounded the front towing hooks, which are now D shaped. New airbags are very expensive. No problems apart from new underwear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now what was it about too much w***ing making you go blind?

A few years ago my spectacle wearing uncle was driving along in his Nissan Primera, doing a constant 35mph, good conditions, clear road when the airbag went off in his face. Broke his specs and badly bruised his face. Car was taken to the local Nissan where upon Nissan fixed it for nothing.

The difference is you only need laser surgery once, and I presume you have/are intending to purchase more than one pair of glasses in your life?
