Question

Can any one lend/rent me a car trailer for the weekend?

Or know where I can rent one from?
Have thought about buying one/then selling it but not enough spare cash once I have bought the wife's new car.

Possibly need to transport a Corsa from Derby to Kent this weekend.

Willing to travel to collect the trailer and pay for trouble leave a deposit etc..

A bike trailer, no problems.

Don't think you could stick a car on it though!

Bit naughty, but don't the AA/RAC/whoever do a relay? Only if it breaks down of course

Cheers Bros... I have a trailer I could and have put my bike in but although it would probably take the weight the trailer is not quite big enough to take a car and the brakes on the trailer are broken at the moment (cables rusted solid) anyway.

Cheers David, well I hope you get your MOT done..
Hopely P20SPD might see this, but after all it is a bit of an ask..

Had a look at a nice car at lunchtime, just need to persuade the wife she wants it now.. (should I not have to persuade her not to spend money? somethings wrong?!)

Perhaps somewhere rents them out? I was going to check the net at lunchtime but went to look at this car instead.

TaviaRS,

Hadn't thought of that but then I have two cars up here if I buy another and both need to go to Kent this weekend.. so I would end up going with the recovered car etc... and leave one here.. so the same as driving one home anyway..

Might ask how much they charge to transport a car... then once I get up off the floor might have to get the wife to train it up here and drive home in convoy.

There is a company in Slough called

K & M Coachworks & Trailer Co
335, Bath Rd Cippenham
Slough Berkshire SL1 5PR
01628 664845

Unfortunatly they are closed untill Saturday as they are having a refurb but the guy there said, to speak to Kevin

Alternatively maybe try contacting your local towbar fitting place as they are likely to know who in your area hires them out.

Where are you ?

I know of a place based in Stowmarket Suffolk that has one for hire. They deliver cars all over the country so may well deliver the trailer.

No idea on prices though.
