just like to say, that my 2.0 8v Seat could thrash any kind of Scooby, no problem, had burned a few WRX's and STI's at the lights, all you scooby boys are far too slow for me and at the end of the day the Scooby is a poor car and the Seat is far much better!!
See ya

damn,
i am gald to see you boys are not taking it seriously, i tried to wind some poeple up, i would never in my wildest dreams race a scooby at the lights, i would be choking on the dust from the scooby before i could say my own name, when i am older and my insurance is cheaper, then a Scooby will definitely be my first choice, they are awesome cars, and love the sound of the turbo like burble and the sexy purr when it pulls away, yes please, but i am only 21 so maybe in three years time when i have ragged the hell out of my Seat. but i am happy with what i have got and its fastest for me, anything faster i would kill myself in.
anyway will carry on reading threads etc on here, is that ok to be part of this webiste even though i dont own a Scooby?
Cheers

You may laugh but a lot of Scoob owners I know are going from Scoobs to Seat's (or other VAG derivatives (sp?)). The trouble is, eventually, a lot of people get fed up of the cost/hassle/image and get something like a Ibiza PD130, Gold PD150, BMW320d/330d.
Personally, I want both so am planning on getting the new Leon Cupra/Topsport/PD150 thingy if Seat UK every actually get round to releasing it
, to suppliment my STi ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

LOL! Welcome to the club - there's loads of people here who don't own a Scooby but just want one, used to have one or are just vaguely interested in the car. You're in good company ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You'd be surprised at the number of genuine posts we do see from people saying 'my EVO/Cossie/Fiesta/pram/wheelbarrow (delete as applicable) is faster than any scooby and your (sic) all driving crummy cars and my dad could beat up your dad any day'. You got off quite lightly considering![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Plus membership is a new option available since the opening of the ScoobyShop a few days ago, it costs £25 but gives discounts on all the stuff.
Andy.

Good post Tony.
As you well know, I regret the day I traded my Leon Cupra to go back to a Scoob. How I long for the days of lousy traction, crap handling and poor build quality to return... ;-) Seat Leon Cupras? Can't get enough of them. lol
Cheers
Mike

Eat a Scooby for Breakfast?? Noooo way.
Far too crunchy and those tyres take about 8 hours chewing each.
If you'd said I eat Scobbies for Bfast, lunch & dinner, I might have believed you![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Welcome m8.

Good post Tony
My Sccoby eats money
But i Woulnd't sell it for the world.
I can barely afford to keep it on the road at the mo.. as i don't earn much... but when I hear that flat 4 burble and it demolishes somthing that cost a smug git 40k, it brings a smile to my face. I love driving anything and my scooby is one of the best drivers cars I have ever owned.
Best wishes
Steve
