Well I am in LOVE with the impreza.. i try to gather as much info about anything considering that car. But as you guys are the number one ressource for me since a couple of months, one straight question:

what is the best scooby ?
i hate the new 00-01-02 headlights.. (is there a conversion possible?) and engine wise ? 22b ? or wrx.. RS ?
(i want to street race, and i got the money)

Being in canada, you are probably restricted to either three routes
if you want to buy an Impreza.
You can either buy a bugeye MY02-03 WRX, wait for the MY04(the new shape) or get an old 2.5RS and fit an aftermarket turbo kit to it(makes it one seriously quick car BTW).

The STI's,22B's etc are'nt available(even in Canada) as imports as far as I know. Importing one is probably out of the question too.

For more information check out www.i-club.com which is the US/Canadian Subaru owners BBS. It also has photos of modified MY02-03 cars, so you know what's available across the pond.

PS US/Can model year numbers are one in advance of Europes and Japan. So MY02=MY01 in the UK, etc

I know of plenty of STi's in the USA, rally cars that is. If your loaded Import one and go play. If your not, forget it.

I will drive it in the us alot, theres this "no-law" nights at the AUTODOME here, where i can have almost anything in,

plus... i dont care bout fines (unless they threaten to confiscate my car)

im not into NOS and ... whatever boosts .. i wanna live long, (everyone their own opinion)

plus, the 2 garages i contacted, are into SHOWCASES .. touring their sponsored cars into shows, (best paint, best hp in a certain class, and all the meaning less titles)

so it would be to SCARE off alot of people, by showing it off in carshows, (hey imagin it being featured in fast and furious 4 or something like that)

and if i have to import... well me and 2 other rich guys agreed on some specific deals, we would THINK about importing if it looks out of the ordinary and rides out of the ordinary (out of the ordinary = canadian/us WRX - RS)

one other thing, we have designs, and specifications of things we never saw heard off in a car, can we patent it ? (special mods for the LOOK and COMFORT.)

(and ..dont forget that i am gathering as much info as i can get)
