I dont think that there were many unmodified scoobs there
My MY00 PPP'd and d/p pushed 263bhp which i thought was very nice (at 15psi) but alot of older high powered UK cars (Rich Wild's pushed over 350bhp )

Today, 263bhp and 248lbft was had from one of my Tek 2.5 maps with the original downpipe, magnex centre and backbox if that is any comparison. Torque figure is lower than I would expect (given std PPP is supposed to be 258 lbft with similar exhaust and this is running more boost), power figure about right on this spec of car I would say, perhaps slightly at the optimistic end of the scale, but no more than PE say.

Thats good with the original D/P though John
Only pushed 243lbs of torque though but its there upto about 6k before it starts to drop off so still pretty happy with it (and only at 15 psi, hmmmm wondering what to do now )

PPP is officially 258lbft though Tony, so if the road was accurate you might expect say 265 lbft from your downpipe as well. Not slating you/your car at all they are good results, it will be the rolling road. Over-reading on power and under-reading on torque?
On your car Tony - how about a Dawes whilst you save for the STi Run it at 17.5-18 PSI and I had this setup before and it goes very well indeed.

Here's the spec given for Harvey's car:-
MY00 STi6 Wagon (APS induction, APS FMIC, 6 port boost solenoid (BRD experimental), uprated fuel pump, Link ECU, 740cc injectors, tubular headers, lightened flywheel, Revolution 3" exhaust with ceramic coated DP, MRT induction hose)
:- I expect interest in the BRD solenoid to be high after today !

Actually got 424 bhp on one run but I'll accept 417, car in question is work in progress though so watch this space, sorry I couldn't get there in person, woke up to some serious storm damage.

John,
i think that Harvey mentioned 23psi but i think he has seen 28psi on the road, you would have to talk to him properly to get all the details but its one quick car

has it got many internal mods....
good to see such a high power figure.... so much for scoobs not been able to be tuned much beyond 350bhp..!! if its done right then the results speak for them selfs.

It would be nice to go this route, but it would presumably mean engine and box rebuild to support it. I assume that would swallow at least £6K alone. Is there much torque below 4000 RPM? If so, and even if not, big credit for achieving this on a 2 litre.

quite a difference between the bhp figure and the torque figure! why isnt the torque figure higher?
will this car be taken to g-force at any point? seems to be THE place to be dyno'd at the mo', as its seen to be very unbiased and accurate.
just re-read the thread....on standard pistons? glad it aint my car!
still, good luck

I belive that Harvey had the engine strengthened before he started to do any serious modifications to it so i doubt if the standard pistons are in there
