Question

Father-in-law has bought a 306 and disconnected the battery at the weekend and now the standard stereo wants a code.. nothing came with the car and no one can help at the garage he bought it from..

Anyone know were we can take it to get it uncoded?

Is the myth true that more than a number of codes wrong and it blows and internal fuse? or can we just try all the codes?

Cheers

If he contacts a peugeout main agent with the chassis number of the car and have proof of ownership then they can supply the code.
They'll charge you for the privelege though.

usually the vehicle log book will have the code? Failing that you can find some 'back street' dealers who will un-lock stereos for around 20 quid. Whoever told you that it blows a fuse if the wrong code is enetered is pulling your leg mate.

Thats what I thought and with an older car I typed all the combinations in and found the code.. took a while mind.. but with only 5 number it has less combinations obviously.
