Im at York drag strip at the weekend and was wondering how the experts get the best times out of thier car( how many revs for the start, when to change gear etc etc ).My best time so far is 14.9 secs (std uk 97 my saloon turbo) but that was on an absolute red hot day so power was well down.

To get the best 1/4 mile time total lack of mechanical sympathy is needed ![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif)
The revs n change vary depending on u r mota
Good launch 4 me used 2 b 4-5K with paddle clutch, changes around 5 1/2 - 6K ![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)
