Jordan testing
#1
Phew... just got back in from testing at Silverstone today. We've been working with three drivers - Jean Alesi on one car, and two new drivers on the other car - Narain Karthikeyan (a new Indian potential driver, currently starring in Formula Nippon (F3000 equivalent in Japan)) for one day, and Justin Wilson (current Formula 3000 champion
by a loooong way). Wilson's been very impressive over the two days in both wet and dry - about a second slower than Alesi, although neither were blisteringly fast today, mainly due to different fuel loads to some other teams. Actually, today's been
remarkable - spent 10 minutes chatting to Jean Alesi this morning in a coffee break, then chatted on and off to Justin Wilson this afternoon as we had some hydraulic problems which stopped him doing as much testing as we'd have liked. Spoke briefly to Narain Karthikeyan yesterday, but he's not the easest person to communicate with. Wilson definitely felt better as a team player etc!
Then, to round it off, talked for a bit to Jonathan Palmer on the pit wall this
afternoon! A truly remarkable few days...
Bumped into Mark Champion (BBS'er) too - good to see you Mark, and to meet your drop-dead gorgeous friend... Glad you both enjoyed it, especially of course the trip to the Jordan pits .
Not gloating, just on a bit of cloud nine after an amazing day
Cheers

Yeah, another day in the office
Don't know James (yet) but he's on the phone list - have a look at my profile for my e-mail address and I'm sure you can work out his
Not sure about jobs going... send a CV in and keep fingers crossed
Have come down a bit now, so back to actual work

Thanks for making it a really great day. Both Katherine and myself really enjoyed it. I just hope you can concentrate on work without thinking about PVC zip up dresses and rubber cat suits!
Thanks mate

Hey Richard, do you know James Eddison? He works at Jordan too, he was doing the nose cones last I heard??
Anyway, if you see him give him a slap, I've been asking him to get me into a test session for years
Cheers, Bob from Bradley, he'll know who I'm am

MmmmMmm...
For everyone else, the 'cat suit' and PVC outfit references are to Katherine, Mark's friend that he brought along with him - he forgot to mention the 'paint-on dress' that she's done before . I was sooooo tempted to take her up on her offer of.. erm... revealing herself in the pits in exchange for getting her a job
BOB.T - D'oh! Forgot I had my Scoobynet e-mail address on here, not my Jordan one! I'll drop you an e-mail if you have an address in your profile.
Cheers all and if you're at future test days when Jordan are there, give me a shout in advance...
