Been dreaming about a Sccoby for a long time now. All due to buy a 2nd hand people carrier in the new year but it looks like the Mrs is aggreeable to the *idea* of getting a Scoob instead!! So, to my questions...

1.I would have 10K to spend - would this buy me a decent UK spec car?

2.If so what year/milage condition should I expect for that kinda money?

3.Any significant changes in spec/BHP etc I should know about?

Any Advice/URLs/FAQs appreciate.

errr, asuming you have good reason to buy a ppl carrier why get a scoob? it will cost a fortune to run in comparison.

its like saying you were all set to buy a 3 bed in swindon but then discovered you could afford the first months rent on a London penthouse.

10k buys you a decent spec UK car. Maybe a 1999 with as little as 40k miles on it.

If you hunt around you could probably get yourself a nice STI IV with about 50k on the clock.

Insurance might kill the idea though.
