My mate's got S1OWW (slow w as it sits on the plate), and this is quite comical on a 317bhp STI V5 I think you'll agree!

My pops has recently sold 555 SML (Subaru Manufacturer Limited........well thats how the guy read it) to an owner of a Version 6

Red face

I made enquiries into SUB 6W with a company called regtransfers,it was advertised for £575.
They rang me back the next day saying that the owner wanted £4000 for it.
Can u just ask what you want price wise for cherished numbers?

One of the problems with these registration companies is while they advertise having millions of plates, in fact they have VERY few. For the most part, they are just acting as brokers and approach the owner of the required plate if there is an enquiry.

Some of the prices they charge is ridiculous - I enquired about 207 WRX which was advertised a few months ago in a sunday paper (without a price) and when I rung, they said they wanted six grand! I could my first two initials and one number for that price!!

I brought a plate last week direct from the DVLA and i'm very impressed. I recieved the paperwork through 24hrs later, popped to my local DVLA office and hey presto, it was on my car by Friday. Well chuffed how easy it was.

Shame my insurance company charged £20 though..

ho hum

Gareth.
