I was playing in North Wales at the week-end with the Cambrian Rally. It was bucketing down most of the day, together with a goodly dose of wind
I eventually finished up and was ready to leave @ 19:45, with the intention of heading straight back to Cambridge.
So I left from where I'd been staying and started back down the A5. It was dark, still raining, the roads were very wet and slippy from leaves and as many people know, that particular route is just plain wriggly with lots of tight corners.
PTMW! really had a good time, keeping at the National Limit (coppers looking out for rally fans no doubt) had an absolute blast down to Shrewsbury, completely sure-footed and safe. Any cars that I came across - not many - were safely dispatched with ease, so that I might continue my onward trek. Late brake into a corner, back on the power and shooting out, HIDs searing the night sky, allowing me to see way ahead.
Fanatastic![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Just over 3 years of owning PTMW! and still I can get a blast out of a good drive
There's enough leeway (at the speeds I was going) that you can play with entrance and exit lines, together with differing speeds through corners. All safely and in the wet too ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I got home @ 23:15, absolutely knackered from the day, but I was a-buzzin' from the drive home![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I love that car![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Puff
Agreed... I was at the Cambrian too and found the conditions terrible but my STi UK just lapped it up even better than my old MY96 WRX.
Considering it was its 1st rally (not mine !!!) it was amazing. My two passengers were so impressed and they own quick cars too. One said "the 60-100 accelleration is amazing" and the handling v impressive even on the OEM Bridgestones. Never put a foot wrong all day...
I still long for that PPP for the extra torque at low revs (common thing on UK STI's as you know) but I was really pleased.
However the downside being doing just over 300 miles and using 2 tanks of Optimax !!!!
