Nother question for webby
#1
Does flood control activate via IP address or username? Just that when my mate who sits next to me at work posts something, I cannot post for 45 seconds
Also, is there a requirement/possibility for an Exterior forum (like the Interior but outside ). I was looking for some info on Spoilers and bodykits and the like but didn't know where to look.
No, I don't want to be a moderator, just wondering if it was worthwhile, or whether there would be too few posts.....
Cheers

Anybody know? Is it because our work machines will be routed through the same gateway hub/machine and hence the IP address will appear the same to external users yet our internal unique IP addresses allow us to work separately?
I'm confooooosed....

Spot on. The Flood Control on the current version works by tracking the IP address the post was made from. If I have two people on my LAN post from different PCs at the same time, one will fail as they will both be stamped with the IP address of our firewall.
