Getting a passenger ride in a EVO 7 WRC
#2
Still cannot believe my luck !!!!
One of my company's suppliers is a major sponsor for Raliart and as I get on really well with them they have invited me to attend a testing day in Wales tommorrow.
I will be getting a ride with one of the main drivers over a 6K stage at speed (rubber knickers packed)and see how the team operates for the day.
I will post up some pictures on Monday just to make you all more jellous.
Best regards with a smile from ear to ear.

Gazzer,
as an ex-Evo rally navigator, I offer you one piece of advice:
Tighten the belts till they hurt, then as tight as you can get them, then get the biggest mechanic there to tighten them a bit more. Those motors have incredible brakes, even on the loose.
Good luck mate, jealous as f**k!

Ray,
Ralliart are based in Rugby. When I lived in Brum a couple of years back we used to do a lot of work for Rugby Cement and Britvic whom are just up the road.
The mechanics used to go for the chips at lunchtime in the GroupA Works Lancers - you could hear them growling up the road from miles off, all pops and bangs and close ratios!
Top stuff

I had a passenger ride in a group n evo on public roads with the anti lag switched on and that was very interesting The speeds we got up to must have been silly round some impressive lanes. I am still very jealous of you though

Hi Pete
Didn't get much notice about event and ended up staying at my sister in laws on thursday night.
If I get another chance next year I will take you up on your offer.
Had a camera with me but the weather was horrible the rain was horizontal and soon covered the lense, could only take a couple of stills and didn't get any video.
Took 5 hours to get home aswell!!
