Where to buy a PS2?
#1
Having finally completed GT2 on the play station, I though it was about time to treat myself to a PS2 plus GT3. Does any one know where the best deals are at the moment. Also can you still get trade in deals. I know EB were offering this deal a few months back.

Good timing - the price has just come down to £199.... Comet and that lot are advertising in the national press.
Hmm, PS2 price drop+christmas approaching+XBox/Nintendo Cube approaching. Surely not a coincidence

Whatever you end up paying you will love GT3 - it is an awsome game.
I found you could steer just as well with the joystick compared to force feedback wheel. Prob is the throttle is just an 'on - off' with the joystick control. This aint no good - esp when you are doing the wet oval track licence test in a Corvette!

Nah you don't want a PS2 (piece of poo) Actually GT3 is probably the only reason for getting a PS2, but apart from that they really are poor. You want to get a proper Next Gen console. Get an X BOX they make PS2's look like spectrums. Ok they're not out yet but the beginning of next year. They'll make the PS2 look rather silly, believe.

All buttons (not including the select and start buttons) are analogue on the PS2 controller. You just need to be gentle with them.

Thanks for the analogue throttle tip! Off sick today so gonna get a few licences...
The physics of the thing is so amazing - that's what makes the game for me, X Box is irrelevant since the physics of car control are so right - right down to the lift off oversteer on my STi V (either one!)!!!

True shame the graphics are pants. The grass looks like Spinach and the road looks like porridge. Project Gotham on X-Box now there's a game. From the makers of MSR, just wait looks nice. Just hope they get the physics right as well.
