Just cos you have an evo 6 doesn't make it automatically quicker you know.
A friend who had recently bought his was overtaken by my sti5 (which had no mods other than exhaust and insuction) as the two of us went down a slip road.
I was behind at the roundabout, alongside by second and gone by third.
The evo then went and an exhaust and induction and was putting out about 326bhp now but there's still very little in it tbh.
If i get the drop on it he struggles to catch me and vice versa.
So please don't be a pillock and go make a few friends on the nice mlr site rather than being a plum here

ahem, erm hello, can I come in? I've only got a Fiesta, I must be a girl:embarassed:
What does it matter what you drive, I could get as many points in the Fiesta as any other car you could think of!

Bollox. I would not have an EVO 'cos they do not capture my imagination. Looks do count for something to some people and I think EVO's look disgusting. You can tune a Scoob to standard EVO6 performance anyway.

WOW! Raw Nerve Central!
EVO6 is more of a super-car....blisteringly fast.
Friend has an EVO4 Xtreme. Is unbelieveable.
It is very reliable.
And yes, the EVO's are not pretty, but they look damn scary in your rear view mirror.
As with all things, gentlemen (and ladies) you pays your money you takes your choice!
Anyone want a car you can leave parked in a car park with out it getting Keyed? Or am I the only one? I love my Legacy...-sigh-

You cant compare a UK std Turbo to an EVO VI a Jap STi is a better comparsion and there is very little in it. In any event, the WR upgraded P1 is reckoned by many to better any EVO.
Remember the Mitsubishi UK equivalent of a bog standard Turbo is a Carisma and I know which I would rather be seen in.

Did anyone mention the fact that the Evo has wuss fuel tank? Preludes and RAV4s go further between fills...
Suuure they're quick, that would be why I pass many sitting on the side of circuits with various bits not functional. Last 3 trips have all been cut short coz of oil dropped by certain Mitsus.

Closed the gap on an EVO yesterday, both flat-out off a roundabout and up a section of dual carriage way, had to touch the brakes to avoid going up the back of it (and before you ask it was being driven v. hard complete with little wisps of black smoke high up the revs, and an exhaust i could get my head up )
Will take you out for a spin if you want.

No point in baiting us we would all love an EVO over a Scooby, there's a massive performance differential between the two, but...
The service intervals are a joke.
The mpg is less than the Scooby, how do you manage that?
Group 20 insurance, and from the content of your post you must be a juevanile, so it must cost you a fortune .
The sound of the Scooby has got to reclaim alot of lost ground, the Evo is straight from sowing machine country.
Suspension, dosen't need commenting on, British roads 1, Evo 0.
It's a magnificent machine ,and I was oh so close to getting one, but it's too extreme, and unless you take to the track often, the cons just outweigh the pros....at the moment.

Um... It could just be because I'm from the states, but...
I like Scoobys. Their fun, and I don't really consider them rice burners. never have. They're good cars. damn fast too. But over here when you refer to something as a "man's" car, it damn well better be a monster gas hog with well over 500 ponies under the hood. An Evo is NOT a man's car. A black '76 corvette with side pipes an a low profile blower (not those obnoxious dragster blowers) is a msn's car. a honda that can push out the same amount of horsies is not a mans car, simply because it sounds like a beehive when the engine revs. sure revs are free and make plenty of horsies, but it doesn't make you a man. Jetskida, I'll pay to have your evo brought over here so I can cruise by you in something with a supercharged 7-liter V-8 at 170 MPH with 5th barely taking over... And then I'll fill the tank for $0.40 a liter =). these monsters aren't graceful, but the are a man's car.
Props to scoobies though. I've been a fan since I had my big ol lincoln. =).

I picked up my first scoob 8 weeks ago - 95wrx with a few mods - to a theoretical 300bhp or so - the previous owner had traded it in at a garage for an evo 6 - he says he hates it - the scoob pulls better, sounds better, drinks HALF!!!! as much juice, and hes had trouble with the evo already - so there we go!

Hell yeah! Give the man a cigar!
Mine's a pretty similar real man's car, a 2.8i XR4x4 with the turbotechnics 250 bhp conversion. I've seen the conversion kits selling for £400 or so, maybe the Capri would take one? Slide that tail, baby!
I know it's a bit down on an Evo-6 or a scoob's possible power output but it's a damn sight cheaper

Another pathetic comment from one of the few pathetic EVO owners (not all are, some of them, like the ones on this BBS are great eg Cem )
WOMEN DRIVE PERFORMANCE CARS TOO. So please do not classify a performance car as a man's car thank you very much.
I bet I could drive your car better than you...........no I am not all talk............let me drive it on track and we shall see........
Evo looks ugly, I prefer the scoobs.
No offence to Evo owners if for some reason any of on here do take offence.
Now go away and leave us scooby owners to talk and admire our cars.........
Ta.

For 'Chelle
Don't worry Michelle,
His teddy was always bigger than everyone elses at school
All the cool kids thought yeah? So ****ing what!
Jetskidia, you're probably harmless so sorry for sounding harsh.
Don't forget tho that you need driver skill to really be able to wave bye. I hear evo's set up can be a bit tricky on our roads.
I do like evos as well, so enjoy your car...come and try saying bye to me....no chance!!!
