.....and a helluva lot of people don't have a downer with him !!!
Why not come to some meets and meet the guy first rather than listen to others opinions ?

Sorry Doc!
Iwasn't trying to offend anybody just curious to know who he is, like I said I don't want to know the ins and outs. I wasn't suggesting anything about the bloke, because I haven't met him.
I would never allow other peoples opinions to cloud my judgement. If he is ever on a Northern meet I would introduce myself and form my own opinion.
Hope that clears it up!

It's all doom & gloom, and who shall we pick on next.
Leave Harj alone. He's very friendly, a nice guy & a top chappy
My Mum always said that if you can't say something nice about somebody then shut the f&^k up!!

Who is Harj? Well, never met him myself, but have seen people taking a poke at him, as DocJoc says, I'll really make up my mind when I meet him. But he seems like a good enough chap.

My question seems to have been taken the wrong way.
I said I didn't want the ins and outs because I didn't want to give
anybody the opportunity to slag him off.
I was just curious to find out who he was after seeing him mentioned quite regularly.

Whatever your opinions of Harj he is a human and deserves as much respect as the next person. Therefore publically discussing each others views about him on a car BBS, which he can read, is probably not the nicest thing to do.

Well, having met harj two or three times I can say I thought he was a top bloke.
But then I never was a good judge of character.
What I want to know is why do you need an opinion unless he becomes part of your life?

jaycee, I think your question is understandable ... lots of "hints" and innuendo had been placed on this bbs about Larj ( )
I just don't think that "beef" should be sorted out on a public bbs where people come to have questions about dumpvalves or whatever.
Does the webmaster beat his dog ? Does he even *have* a dog ? Does JF sleep in his Westie ? Do I pick my nose ? Fun questions for "those that happen to know", but worth nothing to the bbs folks.
I just think that personal questions should be taken to email. This is not the same as saying that your question was invalid.
Theo
PS: just for clarity... I've met Harj a few times, and we are still on speaking terms LOL
PS2: ooh Sal, your name appears in a very fashionable blue ! I'm jealous now

Dirty washing in public is ugly, but better ways are not quite so quick, free and easy.
There are genuine grievances against this bloke, so whilst this 'live and let live' attitude would be ideal, it also seems to dismiss those who have unwittingly and unfairly had their hands burned by being friendly trusting people.
(sorry for the nom-de-plume)
