No regrets

Can be difficult to keep clean, and shows the odd scratch though.

No regrets.

Its THE colour in my opinion
and it MUST have gold wheels to "finish" the look off.

never did work out which was dark blue and which was deep blue !!

On my second Scooby in DBM, First was a MY00 (classic) and now a MY02 (bugeye) agree its the only colour to have but NOT with gold wheels - tacky IMHO ! Sorry Fuzz !
Can tend to show the white undercoat / primer when get the dreaded stone chips

Agree - its the only colour to HAVE, BUT I wish I had the Silver - it looks cleaner for months longer!! DBM is a PAIN to keep clean!

And you can see how the Gold Wheels 'Cheapen' the car - would look great in Moss-Side or the Blackleaze Estate but NOT for the refined owner!! Stick with silver or anthracite!! Unless you are a girl or a bit effemminate

I agree Fuzz, dark blue and gold, the classic colour combination for a classic shape scoob. Like the colour coding on the skirts too, hoping to have mine done like that soon.
But you need to loose the orange side repeaters IMHO, white looks much better on the blue.

Hey guys thanks for that.

Fuzz are those 17" Prodrives?

Is there a difference between dark blue and deep blue mica.

My last two scoobs have been silver and always look clean and it was that aspect I was wondering about, plus the showing of scratches and polishing swirls.

More comments please

All your cars look great.

Mark are your wheels the Prodrives also ? and your car looks darker than Fuzzes or is it just how the light catches it.

Kevin is yours the rally blue? confused ??

I had a DBM MY00 which must have had a duff paint job because it was a total nightmare to get swirl marks out after washing. No matter what I used it still looked like FA so I gave up trying (only had it 5 months anyway).

Now got DBM 01 which is much easier to keep looking reasonable especially now in the winter because it's mostly brown.

Gold wheels on DBM! YUCK!

My car is 'New 555 blue' code 74F which was used on the Terzo, 22B and the P1. Only available in Europe (except UK) and N Ireland for MY00s I think.

yes there is a difference between deep blue and dark blue
if you want to know the diff, use subaru's website and search for cars of each clour type that is for sale (second hand).

DBM prodrive 17"gold wheels
that's my boy

Pslewis,

Kevin, what's that sonic blue doing in here

get gossy on the case, he'll sort your swirls out

Andy

Edit: Oh and the clear repeaters are in the post somewhere,
swapped my cup holder for some, forget the name of the bloke on here who I did the deal with.
I can say my cup holder is now at home in his 22B

I have got an MY00 DBM and it is deffinatly a different blue to MY99 DBM, and when you park both along alongside each other you can see the difference.

As for keeping it clean, I have no problems with swirl marks etc...

Love my DBM - hence the name 'sexy-blue-scoob'.

The'other half has a P1 - and I think that the DBM is by far a nicer colour !!!!!

Thanks all of you for contributing.

Having seen the great gallery you have all provided my mind is made up. Its definately MY2000 DBM for me...it looks fabulous, especially in IANW's pic, and I gotta say it looks great with both silver and gold wheels.

Only choice left now is whether to but UK supplied or used UK spec import

Wow.. That one looks absolutely great. Sure there's some wide-angle lens perspective stuff going on there. I love DBM too, my MY00 had to have that, and I don't care what people say I prefer the gold wheels (might eventually go for nicer alloys than the 16" standard ones though, particularly those 6-spokes).

And yep, get clear/silvered side indicators at least if not fronts too (gotta do that myself 'n'all).

Stratman,

Thanks for your comments, means a lot

As for the UK/Euro debate mine is an MY00 EU import, my local main dealer have no issues with it.

If you want to see a few more pics of my car then thre are a few on my website at http://www.gc8.co.uk
