I am considering buying a used MY00 UK Spec turbo imported from Holland with some modifications.

What do you think are the main pros and cons of buying an import over a UK dealer supplied car?

Subaru warranty on imports is usually only one year (except Belgium I think) so most MY00s imports will be out of warranty anyway.

If the car's been modified, the warranty might not be valid anyway.

Apart from the warranty, make sure a cat 1 alarm has been fitted to equal the UK spec.

And you might be able to get a nice sonic blue model

Once its 3 years old there is no difference between a UK and a EU import and that includes insurance.

I'm about to advertise a 5 door MY00 in Silver if you're interested.

I bought a MY00 Dutch Import Sonic Blue, no probs at all, identical to UK spec, no probs with insurance, Devils fully modded car was only 150 quid more on insurance with Liverpool Victoria, for the one I did buy (non modded)

I ve seen Devils car and it really is nice...but its not that one.

Cant quite afford it.
