Anyone stuck a rubber strip under the front lip?

I've seen quite a few cars (e.g. Megane) which have a ruber stip under the front lip. Thus prtects the lip from scrapes with speed bumps and curves - it also make the car look lower from the front.
Anyone added such an item? Where could I get one from?
I've seen a similar thing on some Supras - only that its active - i.e. it comes down as you drive faster - so acts as a performance benefit too...

Think you'll find thats a splitter the renault ones are very expensive.Best bet is one of a seat,the ibiza is around fourty pound and is one strip the easier to use is one of the toledo which comesin two halves and can be cut and hacked a lot better.
As for aerodynamics they do alittle according to the article in this months sidc mag.
