Took my STiV 4 its first mot, have to say id never thought about how they would brake test it, anyway the guy says i should take it for a spin with a device sat on the dash because we cannot brake test it on our rolling road,anyway he decided not to bother & passed it anyway, what is the device they fit on the dash???

I think it's called a "decelerometer" (spelling?).

They were exactly right not to use their 2 wheel brake tester on your 4 wheel drive monster......there's always a chance it could cause damage.

Even though they passed it, I'd have asked them to take you out with the tester in place just to see how it works.....
