I've been looking to change MY97 turbo for the past couple of weeks.
I was all ready to purchase a 1999T RB5 from a main dealer on saturday, but whilst visiting another dealer on the way to sign for it I spotted a new WR blue WRX. The garage was short staffed so I have arranged to test drive the car on Monday afternoon.
The WRX looks awesome in the blue, but does the overall performance match the classic.
Yours views and experiences of the new shape would be welcomed before I make my decision and part with my hard earned on Monday.
Cheers
Aaron.

If I was to buy again knowing what I know now I'd buy a JDM STi. For me the Sti's are what the Impreza is all about. All the rest are imatations.................... and I've got a UK turbo

IMHO go for a low-mile RB5 WR or a MY00 with PPP. Faster, better looking than WRX and last of the 'classic-shape' residuals may prove better than early bug-eyes in the longer-term.

I traded an RB5 for a wrx with PPP. You need the PPP to get anywhere near a Classic for the kick.
Still you have to move on plus I didn't want to MOT mine etc, but the RB5 is a great car despite what some might say
