I have now seen many threads talking about dints and scratches caused when leaving your pride and joy somewhere.
I know its selfish but I now tend to park over two spaces. After all a car parking fine is much less than having to get dent wizzard and chips away out.
I have been fairly lucky with this car and have only had to have one dent and on scratch removed.
Who else does this ?
I noticed at Asda they now have wider spaces for Mother & Child and its Mother and childs I suspect for most of the damage.
In my last Scoob I found a women using it to park her trolley against it while she unloaded. I went F****** mad at her.
Anybody else found or done this.
I'll probably get female Scoob owners calling me now but just remember you drive a Scoob so probably aren't at fault

I was in an ASDA car park today, and I had to wait to meet someone, and I was appalled at the driving/parking of almost everyone
I didnt go on the scoob, but in the Golf which is a company car, and has already been keyed, so im not too fussed where I park it
the woman opposite me, pushed her trolley into the car next to her, so she could unload it !!
the funny thing was, almost all the cars looked like London cars (ie full of dints, bangs, bumpers hanging off, smashed headlights etc)

no you are not the only one, when ever I am made to go to the supermarket by the misses, I always park as far away as possible and deliberatly aim to get one side of the car over the white line of the next bay. So far only one dint in the C pillar of all places in eight months !.
Have noticed in some Asda car parks put notices up about fining people for bad parking etc, Normally park under the sign!

All you people who use 2 spaces are surely making
the problem worse, making other cars bunch up and
squeezing, and causing another 5/6 cars to park
incorrectly aswell.
Dont get me wrong ' as a fellow scoob owner, it is also
my pride & joy and If I was that worried about it, I
would not use it to go to the supermarket.
It is unfortunate that some people have no respect for other
people's property, but **** HAPPENS.
Nothing gives you the right to take up two spaces!!!!!!
Cheers Taffyboyo!!!!!!!

Whether I have the right or not, fine or not I'm going to continue to use two spaces whether Sh*t happens or not.
I'm just fed up plodding out for something due to others peoples lack of respect.
They aren't the ones paying out £75+ each time it happens
I'm not just on about supermarkets either

My last car was a Lotus Carlton, and it never sat in a car park where people could leave dings and dents. People are some disrespectful of others and their property.
The best car parks in recent times are those by Costco - tons of room, and parked at funny angles. Asda (and the like) lay out their car parks like tins of beans on the shelf IMO.
Best thing is to get your bird/man/partner to drive you in their car

Maybe there's something about ASDA shoppers?
At ASDA in High Wycombe I recently saw a mother scrape a trolly along the side of a Merc and she mumbled to her son 'they can afford it'! The Merc was E reg so hardly a high roller.
:-(

Do you think that you are special? Why don't we all take two spaces up and then there would be no room in any car park! What a pikey thing to do!
When I need to get to work quickly it really is not helpful to find that somebody has parked over two spaces because obviously he/she is more important than everyone else?
I can sympathise with the fact that your car gets scratched but that is part of everyday life. My car has always had a dent or two since I got it last year due to someones lack of respect.
If there are plenty of spaces then fair enough also.
It made my day when I came back to the car park at the end of the day and the car (a focus) which used two spaces had been clamped! LOL!

Never park next to a three door 207 or 307, have you seen how large the doors are!!!!! and they seem to spring to fully open.
Also beware people carriers ( feckin kids) and Soft roaders.

If I saw your Scoob occupying two spaces I'd think: "That guy is crap at parking"
One space for me, and lots of parking dinks. Life's too short to worry about them, and dentmaster or their ilk will take them out.

IMHO this is one of those subjects that people are either for or against, If people use up 2 spaces (right or wrong) they do this
because they feel strongly about it. If people reply on this thread saying its wrong then they also feel strongly about it (like me)
LOL at the guy who had a mini park next to him
so he couldnt get in (that is nothing less than you deserve for thinking that you are special enough to have 2 spaces)
My advice to those who clearly have a complex about their cars is to go to tesco.com and do your shopping online!!!!!
Check your car afterwards to make sure the big white van hasnt clipped it when delivering your groceries.
Just relax and enjoy owning/driving/and USING your cars!!!!
Cheers Taffyboyo!!!!!!

im sure if you check the hand book that comes with the car...it says use two parking spaces...i have simple pleasures in life, no fecking dents/scratchs on my car is one of them...i use two spaces..hazard lights..disabled parking..hell..i'll put a dead relative in the passenger seat so as to put people of having a go at the car...by all means..crash into me..but never..never..scratch/dent the motor because your to lazy and fat to fecking take car with a trolley or opening your own door...side note - you go in reverse...why do people insist on walking behind you as soon as you start to move back!!!!!!!! also ..people see you moving back and floor ther car(saxo/metro/volvo usualy) to sssqueezzeeee by you...well im off to hunt wild stags with my bare hands now...
