And by the way, get yerself down the Halfway House, second thursday of the month, so we can have an oggle at it. We need more wagons there! (See Events, Southern).

I didn't post this for people to take the p1ss! I don't have a wife, I couldn't justify buying the saloon, because it was completley unpractical for what I do for a job.
What date is the Halfway House meet?

Having owned both.(The 4 door was a Sport). The 5 door wins hands down.
The boot space in either version is not exactly cavernous, but the 5 door is deffo more practical.
I actually think it looks nicer, too.
IMHO, of course.

I went for a Saloon for my first (and current Scoob) - a MY00 Sport. About a month ago, we went to a furniture store and bought a little table. Could we get it in the Scoob? could we hell [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
I had to drive us home and come back in my good lady's three door Clio![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Next time, aprt from getting the turbo, I will be going for a wagon![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Jon
Ps. the Volvo 850's did better in the BTCC as wagons IIRC

Yep, a wagon every time!! It's more practical.... the Xmas tree would not go in the STiUK boot! It's no slower than the corresponding saloon, and a number of judges think its roadholding is a smidge better (AIUI there is a small difference in the suspension, but I can't warrant that). I can live without a p***s-extension - even tho' the STi is Prodrive version![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, so that's up to you!! IMHO bugeye wagons look better than bugeye saloons. I have to confess that, when ensuring that having gone in fast, I come out even faster, how my car looks is not quite at the head of my priorities!!
So, don't fret - just enjoy...
Phil
(MY'99 & MY'00 wagons previous...)
Edit: and it adds to the Q-car value
and reduces attractiveness to scumbags![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Went from a my98 saloon to a my00 wagon.....
The wagon has ppp, the saloon only had a back box.....
The wagon is quicker, but most of that is due to the ppp.....
The wagon is more practical, but only in certain circumstances, the saloon was a very practical motor (especially after an MR2).
The wagon looks good, the saloon looks good..... no real difference.
The reason for the change.... just that, I wanted a change.
BUT IMHO the bugeye looks a lot better in saloon form, I think it is the flared arches that do it.....
One last thing, my mum really likes the wagons looks more..... is that good or bad?
