HI guys -
as you may or may not know i am selling a MR2 turbo and wrote p/x subaru...
anyway to cut a long story short have seen an RB5 but after chatting to the seller i have decided i may buy it for cash rather than p/x-
Anyway it is a prodrive model RB5 on a T plate and has done 103K with a full subaru service history....

What is it worth?? i dont wanna pay over the odds as i may wanna sell it if i get bored of it in a few months therefore dont wanna lose too much money !!!!
All comments welcome - once again Many Thanks.

Raf

103k. I assume it is on a T plate? They say Scoobs hold out pretty well to the mileage, but 103k is a lot IMO. Having said that 30k + a year since new suggests it's been a motorway mile muncher, so might not be a bad buy at the right money.

Parkers Price guide says
1999/T £27550 = New
£13430 = A1
£12545 = Good
£11990 = Fair
£10620 = Trade

Surely you need to use one of those mileage adjusters on it to work out what its really worth.

That is a lot of miles, I reckon a scoob can cope with it ok, but Id just be a bit carefull, remember - you have to sell it some time yourself and whats it gonna be worth with say 150K on it after youve finished with it??? Also check which and how much the next service is, whether it needs a cam belt/discs/pads etc.

Not trying to put you off - I wish id bought an RB5 over my fugly just saying be carefull!

Those prices i got do take into account the mileage. The parkers site requires you to put it in so it will give a price.
These are the prices for the same car with 36k.

A1 = £16760
Good = £15875
Fair = £11990
Trade = £13950

I notice, for whatever reason, the fair price is exactly the same?

£11000 - sounds very expensive with that mileage. You'd get a 20000 mile 2000 'W' Turbo for less than £12000. I know which would be easier to sell on in a couple of years.
