Could you please email my profile address. Want to run something by you. Many thanks.
Edited to ask to include your current posting and department please.... please also include your answer to the PNC question usually used to verify you are who you say you are.
(Just so I know you're a police officer.)
Thanks.

Ok so here's the deal.........BuRR has come up with the idea of a new forum dealing more specifically with general criminal and traffic law problems or questions that Police officers in general get asked for advice on whilst chatting on other forums such as Scoobynet.
I for one think this could be a valuable resource to people who fancy a bit of advice or who just want the opinion of serving Police Officers and a few of us will be on there willing to help.
Its not going to be purely for this purpose and of course all avenues of discussion will be open, but if used could become an invaluable source of information that can be easily accessed by anyone.
Any further questions get yourself registered on the site and come and have a look around.

Not a bad idea Would there be enough for a whole forum? I guess there could be If it turns out there's not I guess an FAQ could be produced from the questions that do get asked ?
Nice idea BuRR Would also include all the Traffic Management/Road Safety questions that get asked on SN? e.g. one last week about parking in a 40mph zone with/without parking lights, lots about waiting restrictions/speed humps/speed camera criteria etc. (i.e. all the techincal info so people can then complain to their councils ) If so, I can always help answer them being in Traffic Management/Road Safety and all

Well, to be honest, that's what we intend to help out with.
Resident experts of all backgrounds are welcome. The difference with the forums we're using is that we can post sticky threads, so FAQ's don't get lost.
No disrespect to Scoobynet, but sometimes the sheer amount of posts are its own worst enemy!

only downside i can think of is that any advice given may be taken the wrong way and could cause all manner of problems..
For example, joe public would like to know how the law stands regarding a traffic charge against him....
Mr Plod (no pun intended!) suggests X advice...
Joe public takes advice and ends up in X ammount of **** because he wasnt reading properly...
Or the advice given was incorrect.. we all have bad days eh??
Rob
Help/advice from all would be better me thinks rather than officer only, a few of us respect police officers views and it would be harsh if these views were wrong....

Hopefully people will take advice as just "helpful advice" and any serious legal stuff will be given from a lawyer...
