Tonight i experienced a tiny bit of clutch slippage on my P1, in 4th at about 4000rpm. It happened twice, only a tiny bit but enough to pi55 me off.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
The cars just coming up to 17k and still has 10 months of warranty left.
Will i be able to claim for a new clutch, or will they worm their way out of it in some way?![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Ps, only engine mod is Scoobysport downpipe.
Cheers,
Steve

I gotta fork out for a new clutch myself on my 'aftermarket' warranty. The clutch plate itself was covered but only for mechanical breakdown... it wasn't covered for wear and tear (ie. slipping).
You might find they'll just say you've been giving your clutch a hard time, hence, the premature slipping.

I think you may have a chance, I had a discussion with a dealer about slippage on my 1998 with 45k on it, he said that he had done clutches on Warranty upto 35k
, Just need to have a friendly dealer who can "process" your warranty claim.

If anyone is looking to have a clutch fitted mail me & i'll give you the number of a guy in Surrey who is a Subaru specialist & I can guarantee he will beat any price. Don't expect exactly the same deal as me but I had an STI clutch fitted to my MY95UK for £300.00 inclusive. It would have cost me £250.00 for a UK clutch. That's parts & labour included & he always has a pre skimmed flywheel on site. Like I say please don't expect exactly the same deal as me but it'll definately be worth giving him a call.

Steve,
I had my clutch and flywheel replaced on my P1 under warranty. They can tell when they strip it down if it has been abused or not. Mine had clutch judder but either way there seems to be something a miss with the P1 clutches so they will probably replace it for you.
Cheers

I also get clutch judder sometimes, just on damp mornings though, and its ok after 10 minutes or so. Just moisture in the clutch plate i assume, dunno how it gets there though?!![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)
My MY00 was the same so i don't really take any notice.
Will have the scoobysport downpipe upset the warranty?
Btw, thanx for comments so far lads.

If its the original Subaru warranty then officially the clutch can be replaced FOC upto 20K.
I am having mine replaced on my UK300 within the next couple of weeks at 17K, slight clutch judder when cold.
the only problem is, is that the dealer will only fit an OEM clutch, will not skim the fly wheel etc so I will expect the same thing to happen in another 17K

In my MY99 I had a bit of judder so mentioned it at my 2 year service. They suggested I got it changed but said it may still be just the same. Point being I think the reputable dealers will puch them through.
