Anyone know the cheapest place to buy one? Are they still the best on the market?

Best ??? I have one, that I bough ages ago, and although it is fun, isnt the easiest to use. If I was to buy another, Id buy teh AP22 pr AC22 that AndyF uses. It has more features, and does not need to be plugged into the car battery. Overall it looks to be a much better unit, although more expensive.

I've got an AC22 and would recommend it above a G-Tech pro.

Lots of fun things on it, and as it can measure forces in two planes simultaneously (fore/aft and side-to-side) it is great for measuring total peak g-force when cornering, etc. - useful for proving levels of tyre adhesion.

Getting one at a reduced rate is dubious, though the FTO owners club members do get a reduced rate (5 or 10% off IIRC) - so Scoobynet may be able to negotiate something for its members or you could try and swing it and mention 'FTO owners club' when ordering... ...?

I have an AP22, and have had lots of fun with it. Latest figures on the Clio Cup was 0-60 in 6.6... Get one!
