Sourob.
You have to remember that your Scoob will be a lot older than your Pug, so it's bound to feel a bit drab in comparison.
Having said that, it will still have the bucket-style seats which are ace.
The Pug is a fantastic car, but I think once you get your Scoob and see what it can do, any sacrifices you've made on the mod-con front will soon be forgotten!
Stef.
PS What kind of shop do you run. I work in Cov'.

Yes, you will at times! Most often when your waiting for the tank to fill up on the forecourt of a petrol station.
You may not like the car's handling at first, but when you get used to driving the 4wd chassis you will probably prefer it!

Sourob,
I switched from a GTI6 to UK Turbo Impreza in January and it feels a very different car.
-noticeably faster, especially when on the move.
-much nicer engine note
-better made
-more refined
-better round bends
Downside
-much thirstier
-theft worries higher
-insurance VERY much more expensive
Haven't looked back though.

I own an MY95, I drove the GTI-6 at the Paris autoshow and I must admit I don't understand what is the big fuss.
it is guttless and has boring interior, buy the scoob and find out all about power and handling.

My mate sold his GTi-6 for a UK Scooby and his comments were "the GTi was crap compared to this". He also did not see the point of the 6 speed box as the ratios were too close. And it looked too much like the diesel!

If you like the 'weightiness' of the Pugs steering and it's compliant ride then you might be a little disappointed with the Scoob - at first!
Dig a little deeper and it all makes sense. The 4wd takes a bit of getting used to (still only scrathed the surface). Grip and application of power is awsome - I can drive my Scoob in the wet approaching the same speeds as I drove the Pug in the dry, it really is that good. The Pug is a great fwd car but flawed in it's transfer of power to the road. 4wd and rwd rule.

At this time I've had too much booze, but after switching from a GTI 6 to a Terzo I feel quaified to comment.
In the 306 on liftoff I **** myself. The 306 was not as quick by a large margin and the handling on the limit is a LOT more foregiving in the 306.
The thing you will miss most is that lift off noise on the 306. The scoob is not even close
