A friend of mine who works at wsr racing (the team that run the honda touring cars) invited me to thruxton on Wednesday to have a look at the pits/team/car etc.

It was an open practise session so there was loads of different cars there, single seater fords & vauxhalls, ferrari challenge cars all sorts.

The practice for Honda was to prepare tom Kristensen (or however you spell it!) for the forthcoming season. This guy is seriously being pushed as the next champion, he was 1.25 seconds quicker than thompson at his home track at croft (where thompson holds the current lap record, and even thompson was lapping .25 second under it), but at thruxton he was a good two seconds under the existing lap record.

Almost as amusing was when i pulled in behind the pits and parked up in the scoob, got mucho respect and more than a few people asking questions about the car.
