Why do P1's have front tow points?

All scoobs have these - infact 2 at the front IIRC
P1's only have one cover, so there is prob another not accessable.
You have to get the thing on a flat-bed, so you use the tow-hook to winch it up. It's OK to do. The thing not to do is put one on a dolly with only two wheels on the road![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)

Apparently Haldex system 4wd cars are ok to do this. I know as my housemate looked into it in quite some detail when his Golf 4 motion needed towing twice in the same month and both times the recovery company sent a tow truck rather than a flatbed.

as already said by some one , you CAN tow your scoobs (any of them) a long as all four wheels are on the ground just like you drive them
lol
just dont tow them with only two wheels on the ground , cos that will screw up the diffs

Though you might find, like I did that most recovery agents will not tow them, avoiding any risk of expensive damage to 4WD systems.
As P1Fanatic pointed out, Haldex state specifically on their website that their system CAN be towed front wheels up in the air.
However, with Scoobs/P1s etc I would suggest that towing for any distance, flatbeds would be the answer.
Of course, as pointed out, to get the car onto a flatbed, you need a winch point ...
