Incidentaly wasn't the car park completely empty, and the track closed because of ice at that particular moment in time
Also I see they went into the regular bar we frequent, no sign of the COLLIEKISSER sticker though oh and then on to Sabine's place, didn't mention her name or what she does for a day job, fools...

I want to go back there now
Shame my car is in pieces, and I've possibly made the suspension too hard (450 lb springs on the front and 275 lb on the rear) to have the car stable round most of the place

There I was, came in from the pub 11.30pm after a couple of jars. Switched the TV on just happen to pick itv, not knowing a car prog was on and some bloke says the track closed due to ice but theres a scooby over here. Stopped instantly whilst making a cheese butty and the next thing I see is DocJock . I was worried they had put something in the beer for a moment .

John (F) I haven't forgotten a) lending you my mechanics gloves just so you could get another lap in and b) helping you re-attach that errant front cycle wing with my drift and a roll of Gaffer tape
It was an eventful trip that one!
And the next one, the look on your face when you stumbled into the Lindenhoffe at 2.30am to find a drunken group of nutters thrust a beer into your hands...and then not surfacing the next day untill early afternoon in time to fix your petrol tank
I guess the Scoob is a little dull by comparison

yep, the westie was an adventure allright. Strangest moment has to be driving through Belgium and hitting a pothole at speed, finding myself airborn steering with one hand whilst catching my front mudguard with the other. I wouldnt believe that unless it happened to me.
What else is there, oh yeh, on my way to dover, stopping in Daventry, stripping my turbo off the car, having it reconditioned, installing it back on, then carrying on all the way to the ring.
There is the time i travelled there on my own for the first time, using some printed directions. Only to realise when i was heading home i had no idea where to go, no map, no directions back, so i ended up in the middle of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg in a westfield packed to the rafters with spares and all the locals pointing at me like i was nuts.
There is the time my clutch cable snapped too, and the spare i had was too long, so i made some spacers up out of 1/2" sockets and gaffa tape and heat shielded the tape with some bacofoil from the ring restaraunt. Trying to explain to claudia why i wanted bacofoil was amusing in it's self.
The night in the lindenhoff where they played the onboard tape on the TV to everyone and it got a big ewwwwwwwww where i nearly hit the barriers at weirseifen and the cheers as i passed the RUF porsche round the outside into brunchen. Embarasing but brilliant fun.
Funiest thing about always ariving late was the sight of you lot pissed out of your heads trying to climb in my westie at 3am. I cant think why i love the place so much.
Thanks for the gloves, it was rather cold driving without them.

Ah but john m8, I've been there too a few times...and the first time, on my first ever lap, it snowed...big time
The chap following me (Ian555) videoed the whole thing (Ian m8, never did see that video) from his Sti 6 Type R following me and thought I was going quickly
Oh, and Felly still went out in the Westie despite the snow
Edit to say, anyone know how to take a piece of video tape, and turn it intop an Avi or mpeg...30 secs isn't long...

No, no mention of Sabine Tim even though she took the wee nobber (Darren) round in that monstrous X5 (20" wheels FFS!). Her comments after were priceless.
Nice shot of her **** whilst serving our biers though
BTW, did I mention she asked if she could join our wee club
....she enjoys a good pisstake too
Track closed ? It was end of 09:30 end of November so track was still iced : all the lightweights were back home tucked up in UK
Car park empty ? Nope, usual selection of heavy German metal in the lower park and a couple of Beemers topside, but how could they resist such tastefully modified bodywork ?
