Tesco told me they don't insure import imprezas Had to go with Adrian Flux for my 94 WRX. Their quote was considerably higher than yours. Only difference is you have full NCB and I hane 3 years with no claims/convictions.

I did notice that if i insured the car at my other address in Scotland the quote dropped by 400 quid

As I have said in a thread 'are people really telling the truth

You get what you pay for, cheapest isn't necessarily the best and I didn't particulalry find Tesco insurance that good. Yes it may be cheap ish but it is no where near the best or most comprehensive

I have just been doing a tour of the so called 'Cheap' insurance and wouldn't touch half of them as I believe that you may have problems when it comes to claims

Try Subaru Insured - Tom Scofield - He understands the car you drive

LV were OK as well

I'm currently with Co-Op and have been for 15years because of the quality you get. It may be a little more than most but the cover is second to none in my opinion

I actually pay a lot more than most of these (£1062) but as I keep saying you gets what ya pays for and if like me you are lucky enough to buy a new scoob every couple of years at £25K a time it pays to have the very best quality insurance you can afford

PS I nicked the list from the insurance forum

Dunno wot the quotes are for. Thats one of the problems with insurance threads, they never quite detail what the cares are, level of cover etc

Mine is UK300 PPP + ITG Filte, Forge Dump valve, exhaust resonator section

Fully Comp (£1062)

Fully Protected
No extra for mods providing I write and tell em
Second driver insured Providing over 25,. clean license etc for free
Full green card (Not the three days a year crap)
Side windows replaced free
Windscreen repairs FOC, excess £50
Full insurance excess only £150 (Not £500 as some)
Plus a load if other legal cover stuff

I have aksed my company for a full written answer on cover as the ppolicy document I have is now 15years old !! (Yes thats how long I have been with them)

Of course you can get cheaper, but as I keep saying ya gets wot ya pays for and nothing else

I'm happy knowing I am properly covered
