Normally they had 204 bhp, but at the end of making, there was a special version with 238 bhp, only black with full spec, lika abs, aircon, airbags and so on, There is one of those here in Antwerp, I spoke to the owner : very thirsty, 15-16mpg, and not so fast as my scooby, but a real drivirs car, good handling and roadholding.

My mum is selling her GT-4 St185 (G reg). She has owned it for over 10 years and to be fair, it's been a really good car.

A few friends have had different GT-4's, but the new version ( ST205 ) does have a claimed 245 bhp, or thereabouts.
Whilst it was ok, and had good brakes, I hate the bloody things, as they are one of the most difficult cars to work at, I have ever had the misfortune to work on. Thankfully they got rid of them after seeing sense.
The ST185's are a completely different car the ST205, but still as awkward, and not as good, or reliable as the later model.

The last of the JDM ST205s has 260ps engine. That 3S-GTE engine was also fitted to a 4wd JDM version of the Avensis estate (called a Caldina GT-T).

I've played with 3 different GT4's (strange, but they seem to like my car <shrug of shoulders&gt Anyways, they have all been in various states of tune and I've managed to out-accelerate all of them. One did come pretty close though. All good humoured and enjoyable bar one guy who took exception

Had a 94 import , doesn't feel as quick as Scooby but probably not much in it on the road.(240 ish brake) Tracked mine once , good standard brakes no fade after 5/6 laps of K/hill, handled better than expected too.
Nice inside ,sexy bonnet.... good value for £££ .Like someones said previously don't fancy doing any major spannerwork on one.

Difficult to remember but I think when it was 'closest' I had the scoobysport backbox, TEK2.5 and dawes at something shy of 1.2bar.

MY99 btw.

If I was to play with the same car again I'd give it a bit of a thrashing now...assuming my car could be bothered. Its a bit of a wierdo. Was driving back from Aberdeen and it was being a real pig under boost. Then just outside Dundee....bam...cleared her throat and was flying Ho-hum!
