Used to be a guy called John Tebenham that had a Ford Anglia, complete with all original chrome, minilight alloys with moderate sized tyres...

And 400BHP+ of turbo'd cossie lump !!

"The heart of a Bison beating away in the chest of a Chihauhah" (J.Clarkson).

I still wanna put a turbo'd scooby lump in an old Skoda Estelle or Rapid.

Q-Car blimey.

Ian,
Check the smiley after the comment, I know the RB5 is nearly £30k, I was being sacaustic (sic) at Kate H's inability to display the right car that was supposed to be circa £21k... (She can't get anything right - I mean picking a Skoda - urrggg!)

Cool

So who's going to be the first to fit a jet engine to their scoob?

Or even better, fit it to the back of a forester, complete with tow bar, attach your caravan and do us all a favour by putting it on full after burners...

So...First top gear wants us to view the Fiat Multipla as the greatest car on the planet...

Now, we're expected to choose a front wheel drive estate car over a Forester or Impreza...(Not slagging off Skoda particularly as I think they're excellent!).

Sorry, Kate - All that perm lotion has seriously affected your judgement.

A bit like TG in general - I like speed and the like, just like anyone else. However, the hooligan behavioural trend of last night's show left me stunned!!

Come back Chris Goffey and Jezza Clarkson, all is forgiven!

Getting old,
Squizz.

I personally though that last night's TG was the best I have seen for a long while. I especially liked the review on buying cars with "supercar" performance for sensible money.

In addition, I thought that the idea of comparing a Skoda with a Scooby was spot on! However, I always thought an RB5 was considerably more expensive than the £21k that the most irritating women EVER was quoting, obviously they have slashed the price...

With regard to the Lambo's (and I know you'll think I'm sad!), but I could feel my loins stirring at the wonderful noise they were making (or perhaps that was the effect of VBH!).

Hmmm, Diablo GT sounded wonderful although Tiffany had to come over all superior and overtake Ms Butler-Hooligan.

Mike the Standard Impreza is 20950 the Forrester S Tubo is 21750 the RB5 on the show was 27 grands worth of RB5 WR

Did you notice Tiffany's quip about "not being a fan of Turbos" during the DeTomaso bit.

Probably explains why he usually slags off cars like the Evo and Scooby but LURVES hit Beamers

btw, that Mangusta is SOOO ugly!

Don't get me wrong everyone...I thoroughly enjoyed the topics last night.

The Lambo was excellent...Reminiscent of when I used to go to Castle Coombe for the Super-Car Test Days before they got clogged up with RS f*cking turbos.

My fave...The noise made by the De Tomaso.

I used to have a 3.5 litre Rover V8 in a TR7, and 90% of the pleasure I got from driving it was the noise it made - Used to set off car alarms when it passed them, too.
Even better than my Scoobysport box!!!

I think what they were trying to do was compare the Skoda with the Golf and the Forester with the Impreza in performance/Q car ability. There is no way anybody would buy the Skoda over the Scoob. Is there??

I'm sure they said the forester had the power of the Impreza. Is'nt it true that the Forester has a detuned ~ 150 hp 2.0 turbo ? ?????

It was very cunningly worded, they said it had the same ENGINE as the Impreza. Strictly true, but misleading
