Just thought I should let everyone know that the re-designed Scooby Mania website has just been launched.

The aim was to have a much more involved website than the old one, with plenty of product information, whilst keeping the design and navigation as simple as possible.

Please feel free to have a look, and feedback any comments etc.

Also, please email me if you have any problems, errors, suggestions etc. The site is still being tested as yet, so there may be a few teething problems.

We will be developing the site over the next few months with more features.

The site looks great! I was particularly drawn to the 2.5l engine... sadly I'd have to sell my scoob to afford one, which kinda bu99ers things...

Yes, better looking site, but still no shopping basket, and direct CC sales online?

And desperately trying to get hold of some Millers Octane Plus at the moment. I have none left and cant get it where I live, but being quoted silly shipping costs from your sales staff.

Not telling tales or anything here BTW, but can you help at all?

Email me if need be, address in profile...

DW, it's definitely one of your sites.
Looks good although I do miss the drop down menu thing that was on the site before. It has more on it though which is good and also you can easily navigate around. Addition of prices next to stuff is also better.

Thanks all - as said, we will be changing things over the next few months. i.e. we are trying to get better product images, so for now some are a bit too small.

Christian - BMP's will be going shortly. The images are uploaded at SM HQ dynamically, so with a bit of image training only JPG's will be included.

That all kinda depends if the client is willing to pay out for a decent e-commerce package...

Right, DW?

Nice work, mate.

Very true Squizz - hows business? (liked the PSi3 site BTW - nice )

Also on the shopping basket thing, it is all about the need to do it. Books and CD's are fine, but if I am buying a modded car bit, I like to go in the flesh have a look and get it fitted there and then.

Not sure if the cost of online shopping would be justified for a car modding business.

Not saying that it wouldnt work though, later on

MY01 STi Injetcors
End fed 500cc injector, as used in the New Age STi models. WRX has much smaller (380cc) injectors. Required when making substantial BRAETHING mods or fitting programmable ECU's.

... I think all products should state MY they are valid for... for example 5dr rear spoiler, it won't fit the '01 onwards AFAIK.

A point about VAT (my favourite subject). I think it would be worthwhile changing the footnote to something like "All prices exclude VAT. VAT will be charged at 17.5% to UK customers".

Ok I'll try and answer a few.

Online ordering.

No real need, virtually everybody wants to talk to somebody about some aspect of their purchase so I can't see that we will go for on-line purchasers in the foreseeable future.

Knock link Lambda Link. Stopped selling these after constant complaints of where to place them in the car and now have our own items manufactured in the UK (by a company whose boss has an Impreza), but with the LED's in a small remote display which is much easier to place.

Most areas will be "enhanced" and product range will increase as we go along, this is much easier to do now as we can alter everything from here.

There is still info to go in such as diagnostic and general engine gearbx repairs/rebuilds and that we have both select monitors now with fully up to date cartridges Etc

Feel free to comment either here or direct or via the new facilities on the web site.

Mike.

Hi Mike, DW,

Nice-looking site - quality affair as always from the DW

Fair sprinkling of typos though - MY01 500cc injectors referred to as 550cc injectors in the same bit, extra ) after 850cc injectors line with price on, "2.2l cutom Engine builds" (needs no capital E and custom has an s ), later extra / after 400BHP, etc. Just a thorough read through the site and it'd be perfect If you'd like me to do this drop me a line and I'll have a go...

I think on-line purchasing is useful for smaller items, like air filters, oil filters, spark plugs, oil, etc, when you know what you want already. Just a thought.

Good stuff though!
Richard
