Question

Had PPP fitted at CVC in cardiff yesterday and was charged £2165. When i questioned this against the price of £1995 on subaru website i was told that that figure did not include cost of additional gaskets that were initially missing from the pack.

Reading other threads on this i know other people have paid £1995. I contacted another subaru dealer for a quote and was given a figure of £2080.

Not sure if i'm being overcharged or not. Would be interested to know what other people have been charged/quoted for PPP in the last few weeks.

Thanks

Simon

I would Ask for a refund on the extra. As I suspect the garage may have got confused.

It's £1995 inclusive of everything.

Not heard of extra gaskets being required and mine was fitted at prodrive(and they should know what goes in) for £1995.

hi simon
i paid £2003.78 at cvc last friday for mine, the first invoice they ran off was for more than that, they have charged the following
downpipe 639.48
centre and rear ex 443.85
ecu 594.71
exh bolt pack 7.39
gasket exh 4.33
gasket turbo outlet 10.64
gasket 4.95

total 1705.35
vat 298.43

i know its a bit more than 1995 but i just wanted to get out and drive the thing, they quoted me more last year but when i ran last week to see if it had come in i checked if the price was 1995, yes they said, i know nills had the extra refunded after getting a letter from mike woods from prodrive

Thanks Mark

Just spoken to CVC querying the bill and they are going to contact prodrive to get clarification on the price of fitting including vat and labour. I'll let you know how i get on.

Cheers

Yeah Neil, but what I'm trying to find out is who gave him the "substancial" discount.

I guess it must have been his dealer, and not Subaru UK, I too have spend a few bob on Subaru's in the last 4 years also - 70K.

Just curious thats all, its not to flog the life out of someone with or anything.

is everyone happy with their PPP, just that I have a MY01 ppp wagon and have read on various threads that its not the most beneficial way to tune the engine,ie ecutek option, better fuel control , boost, .The key area I can see from the threads is that it doesnt invalidate the warrinty ( a key issue)but a crude way of getting more bhp. Anyone know how the PPP ugrade works.
