email prodrive ???

I had a question for prodrive too, I emailed them but their reply didnt really help like I needed it to. I asked for some advice on the great oil debate, due to so many opinions it was unclear as to which was the best choice for my import. They told me that they change their WRC cars oil every night and the same should be done with Group N cars. But no mention of which oil, plus I was meaning what did they recomend for their road going scoobs. I was pleased just to get a reply, so I phoned up and got a receptionist who asked what it was in connection with, as soon as I mentioned 'Import', no sorry we are in conjunction with Subaru UK and cannot answer your questions. I accepted politely and put the phone down, after which I swore repeatedly.
I thought Prodrive imported 22b's amongst other models?
Its not like I was asking the blueprints for their WRC just some advice on oil.
Opps, sorry an e-mail address, i will look it out once I get home from work. Although you should be able to get it from the Prodrive site like I did.

You should be asking oil questions to Subaru Uk not Prodrive IMHO. Prodrive design parts and build race cars and as such can give you advice if you buy service off them to design soemthing for you or build/prep you car.
Its not anyhting like walking into you local Subaru dealer and asking for advice. What happens if something goes wrong, "well this bloke at Prodrive told me to use this ..." I cant see them wanting any part of it to be honest.
Yes they build and design parts for Subarus but you can ONLY buy those warranted parts from Subaru UK not Prodrive. The warranty is with Subaru UK and not Prodrive.

Ooops just re-read and seen as you have an import. In which case, Subaru Uk wont want to know either . I have an import and run on Silkolene Pro-S.
I had the same when contacting Prodrive about contents off the PPP about 4 years ago and they told me I was best talking to my dealer as I would have to order through the dealer anyway. I thought abput it and thought fair enough I can see their point to be honest.

My point/Question is :
1. What oil do they use on their road cars.
2. Didnt prodrive import the 22B's they had from Japan.
I really dont see my question as a binding contract.

I can see that im obviously asking too much or im just being awkward or something.
Your telling me that just because they dont sell the cars they cant tell me what fuQing oil they use. Im not asking the dealer (shell Helix 05/40) im asking prodrive a simple enough question.
Heres the situation:
Scoobynet says:
Motul 300V Comp 15/50
or some say
Mobil 1 Comp 15/50
Theres a minority who say
Castrol RS 10/60!
Then theres the dealers
Shell Helix 05/40
But we dont comment on imports sir
So I thought it logical to contact prodrive find out what they recommend for their P1/22B.

I can see where your comming from, as they use Motul in their WRX cars id they would probably recomend it for their road cars, but why dont you phone them again and say youve got a P1...they may be a bit more helpfull.

There were 16 22B's imported into the UK by IM, these cars were given to Prodrive to "enhance" and bring into line with euro regs (AFAIK). They have slightly different top gearing, different suspension and ecu to the Jap domestic market version (JDM).
More info on these cars can be found on www.sidc.co.uk

The P1, 22B Type Uk the STI7 Prodrive, the STI7 and the PPPs and all the enhancement kits were sold by Subaru. Sure work was done on them by Prodrive but at the end of the day you paid your money to Subaru UK as they were the vendor. You can only buy race cars or engineering services from Prodrive.
