Great little story
#1
My mate imports Jap cars for a living.
He took an order from a young lad who wanted a Jap WRX. This young lad said he wanted a few bits on it to make it slightly different and a bit more fun.
So my mate put the feelers out to this Jap scouts to go and find a good example car with a few toys on it.
They found a good straight car in mint condition at a grade 1...which means it has modifications over standard. He got the pictures and information about the car and the young lad agreed so the deal was done...the car was bought in the auctions and shipped over....
The car arrived yesterday and it was delivered to my mate for work to commence...SVA etc..
He took it out on the road to test it out and set about warming it up at a nice slow pace. Bearing in mind, he wasn't exactly sure what mods this WRX had on it as it was a cheapish car (about £6000 I think) their wasn't a great deal of documentation with it..just service history.
"OK, the car is warm" my mates thinks, "i'll give it a bit of stick and see how it goes". Hes in second gear doing about 30mph when he plants his foot down....the car starts to rush forward at an alarming rate the all of a sudden the car starts to squirm up the road and all 4 wheels light up...F**K he thinks goes for 3rd gear, nails it again and the car starts crabbing and squirming up the road again pulling amazing Gforce and then the wheels light up again.....in third gear....at about 50mph...Oh My God he thinks
After playing about woth the car and its awesome power he pulls up back home, goes over to his workmate..."you have gotta have a go in that f**ckin animal" he say with a grin so large it must be hurting his face.
So his mate goes out in the car and sure enough he comes back with the same grin...."F**k me...that thing is unbelivable, thats one of the quickest cars I have ever driven...it was trying to spin the wheels at 70mph, in fourth gear".
And belive me, these boys have driven some cars, including skylines. A final verification was that this WRX was pushing out well over 380bhp which was what another car they have was doing....probably over the 400bhp mark, they have not been able to put a figure on it yet.
Anyway, here is the twist....the young lad who is buying it currently drives a 1.6 astra and has never driven a performance car in his life.....LMFAO.
In fear for his life, they have decided to de-tune it as its doubtfull he would last a day in it......he said a small amount of pedel whilst on boost around a coner and the car would immidietly swap ends.
Sounds like brilliant fun.....I go up for the final test drive in it on Monday before the car is signed over.
I can't wait

Would you not be a touch offended if someone wrote that same comment on one of your threads?
Let me guess - you wouldn't care?
Either way, there was no need for it.

its all about a little known and fast disappearing practice of good manners STI Shrek.
I for one dont care for Mike Tyson and as this is the internet its highly unlikely any comments i make will illicit any response but i wouldnt dare say so to his face.
So think to you self before commenting on a public bbs
"would i say this directly to the face of a complete stranger"
You may in time grow to like and respect some members of this board and will throw ribald bandinage about safe in the knowledge that others have grown to like and and respect you, but until then pretend we are all Mike Tyson and have all got your address and phone number.
Never mind he's probably asleep by now anyway

Sounds more like something on the chassis/running gear knackered.
Did your importer mate check to see if the car actually had any bushes ? Or is your importer mate just full of ****
