Had a red classic,then a Sonic blue & now a WRC blue.
Now thinking of a Graphite Black one.But everyone says they are hard work to keep smart & that they show up every mark & scratch etc.
Are the looks when waxed up really worth the aggro?
Come on you Black beasty owners,do you regret your choice of colour or would you say go for it?
Cheers for any feedback Mark

I always thought my white car was harder to keep clean.
I have a black one with black alloys. No probs with the black - just same attention as any other colour IMO.

Black vehicles in my opinion ( non humble) are far harder to keep clean, they definately require more attention on the wash and wax front but saying that they look lovely when clean.

Two years with a mica black WRX put me off owning a black car ever again, even pollen makes it change its colour within hours of washing it. White is best to keep clean, and I'm sticking with Sonic blue at the moment......

I don't think you realise how dirty they get until you wash them and then you realise you should've washed it ages ago![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Haven't owned a Black scoob but have had a black car before. Yes, they are a bit more work to keep clean but then, if you want your pride and joy to look shiny, it won't matter what colour it is.
Scoobies (IMHO) can look good dirty or clean. My wheels are covered in brake dust at the moment and if anyone was asked to say what colour they are, I'm sure the answer would be black rather than gold. I love having my pride and joy looking sparkling clean (and it WILL do tomorrow) but I can't help thinking that it looks more "lived in" when it's covered in crap![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
For what it's worth, mine is a Blue Mica, my second choice was a Black and third was Silver. They all look the dogs bollox but it was a really hard decision to go with the Blue. The Black with Gold wheels is a helluva great look.

when I went to buy it, they had a WR Blue and the Black/Blue Mica there.
Instantly I could see that the WR Blue was too in ya face and the Black was more descreet, and they didn't make as many.....

black is a really smart colour and it really seems to suit the Scoob. Trouble is,as others say, it is truly the worst colour to keep looking clean-Silvery colours are the easiest by far. I had a black car once-never again!

Never had black before until my first WRX, Blue/Black rocks. Had a silver Golf last time and ok it stayed looking cleaner for longer but even when you washed it you didn't get that satisfying feeling that you do when you dirty black machine has had a wash and wax and is sparkling. Even if it is only for a few hours until you take it for another b-road dash.

Cheers for all the input guys.
ricco - looking good m8
marklemac - likewise
Vinnie Mac - yep totally connected with test drive
scooby-new - could well be a moody black stealth wagon on the way.
I did like the anthracites on the P1 cos you could leave cleaning them for weeks & no one would know, only you.

Once you've had black you will never turn back, car that is.....
I do need to wash mine at least once a week to keep it looking good, but it's well worth it, and when I polish it OH YEAH!!!!!

I have an STi7 in Black. It's my second black scoob, and it is defo more work to keep clean than the two silver ones I had. When polished it looks great IMHO.
I've never owned a WRC or sonic blue scoob, and I must admit I'd like to. But there is this other side of me that like to be different, and I usually favour the dark side..
It's Black for me, because Blue is like an @rse, some are very nice to look at, but everyones got them.:-)
