It takes ages for the pages in threads to open, sometimes all I get is 'flood control' warnings when I submit replies, I haven't had e-mail notification to my in-box for almost a week, chat ain't functioning properly...................blah - blah - blah and all that........

What on earth is happening here!!!!!!

Any of you mod's care to comment???

I keep getting "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" messages, so something's awry.

I don't know if scoobynet is SQL server based - theres a virus on the loose this weekend that attacks Microsith SQL.....

I've even had the RK redirect page appear tonight, so maybe the server the scoobynet site is based on is on the fritz ?

Mods - what sort of bandwidth does scoobynet use and how much do you pay - I know someone who may be able to host ?

When its doing the 500 server error thing, i normally doubleclick the links - seems to help, or at least I tell myself that

I'm pretty sure it uses MySQL, so the recently released worm probably hasn't had a direct effect.

Yep...

This SQL server attack that is going on has taken out http://www.xtr2.net. The mini forum I have just created for folks now starting to build their own cars is using SQL Server in the back end for our site and a few others. We've had to take the machine off the net today

I think we have the latest service pack too which is weird

Hi All

We are in the process of setting up a new server as this one has finally bit the dust I think.

I'm hoping this week, but I'm out of the country until later today so may struggle now.

Thanks for your patience.

All the best

Simon

It's been OK (sort of) for me too. Can be very slow at times and occasionally I get the 500 http error (isn't that server busy error?).

Simon,

With the new server does that mean we can get full search back? or is that a code re-write/tweak job?

Must admit there does seem to be some rather crap postings......... out of the 20 or so on each page I probably only take interest in half a dozen, some of them don't deserve air time!!

And.......thank you for the reply Simon

We have been busting our ***** over the past few days, and the server should now be back to normal.

If you are still not getting emails through, please contact me direct.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Shaun.
