I have been advised that the diaphram in the stock wastegate actuator is weak and that a significant increase in performance can be achieved by the replacement of this component.
This is supported by a 50 bhp increase in output as a result of 18psi boost being held.
Source AVO test.
Can any member shed any light on this information-particularly when such a modification is run in conjunction with a bleed valve to increase boost.

Doesnt matter what you do to increase boost you will always hit the ecu safety fuel cut-out mechanism.
50bhp is rubbish..I moved from 14 to 17 and got an extra 12bhp and 12lb.ft.
if calculations were equal you would need 26psi for 50bhp !
