First time on the forum

Hi all,
This is the first time on this forum so I,ll introduce myself as Ted. I am from south Ireland and have just (4 days ago) got my new 2000 reg impreza turbo. Great car!. The first question I would like to ask is can you do anything to improve the light from the spots / fogs. They are useless. Where I come from you need good lights. I know you can get a number of lamp kits. Are they any good? What bulb's would you recommend to replace the main headlamp bulbs. Any advice would be welcome.
Many thanks.

Welcome aboard Ted, I've only had my Subaru since just before Christmas so I guess I'm a newboy too.
A quick tip, the search facility is excellent. It's worthwhile spending a day or so just doing searches on whatever takes your interest. As for the headlight and driving lamps I'm off to Scoobysport for a backbox, filter and CIBIE lamps as soon as I can wrangle it with wife. The lamps I can justify on safety reasons but the backbox is a little more difficult. Because it sounds nicer does'nt really work. Anyway welcome, I hope you find the BBS as useful and fun as I do.

I'm in the Staffordshire Moorlands and have had Pete's lights on for a while. They turn the country lanes from night to day, and as such I'm always trying to find an excuse to go out at night for a bit of fun!
I'm sure my other half thinks i'm a kerb crawler!!

Hi Ted
Like you, just bought my first Scooby. I kind of expected the lights to be lousy as everybody says but they really surprised me, particularly on dip beam. On removing the bulbs, found i'd got 80W/100's in it. Don't know if newer imports come equiped or whether it's a mod (or even whther it's legal but it really makes a difference over standard. Cheap Too!
