BEDFORDSHIRE area, thought this may be useful to some, local radio today warned drivers of 'top end' cars are been followed around and having cars stolen from their homes/ offices. Keys being taken after breaking in to house / wherever, I know this has been happening around the country, but its now on local radio.
even our local radio station has said this ( Bristol Area ) ,,,,,,, they said if you have a house alarm make sure you arm it to protect the downstairs only at night
I think I had better get on with my quick release brake and accelerator pedal. I think the best way would be just removing the brake pedal but I guess the police maybe upset when the ****ers drive off and cannot stop and probably kill themselves.
Better do both pedeals!
Funny that Colin, i've had a quick release accelerator, brake or clutch in nearly all of my vehicles.
Good idea but they're more likely to shoot you now if you make it difficult.
My car explodes now after 2 minutes of unauthorised driving.
I've seen them walking about with gearboxes of various makes and models though.
I believe you can buy a nylon gearbox bag too for that ultimate stealth look.
Not cheap i know, but the sooner insurance companys stop insuring performance cars that don't have trackers the better,it 'aint gonna stop till this happens.
3 cars in the town i live got nicked via break in and taking keys last week according to the local paper, a clio, a audi tt and a subaru impreza turbo so watch out guys
years ago i remember for cossies you could have a bolt type thing welded into the transmission tunnel that locked the gear box with a steel rod, as its not exposed it can be attacked, cars going nowhere with out the key to it. Doesn't cause hideous death to the s*?t thats trying to take your motor but...
you mean Barrier deadlock. Still going strong.... Think company that has the UK 'rights' are up near Liverpool, but some main dealers arrange fitting (more expensive tho')
