I was looking for a scratch repair kit for a DBM car today... couldn't find one anywhere....

I take it there isn't one.. hence the reference to "Dark Blue Dreaded Metallic"

I tried the Halfords Ford Azure blue kit to see if it'd be a close enough match to use on a few stone chips.... it's not... it's too light.

Hi all,

I need some panels respraying for minor scratch marks. Front and rear passenger door and maybe it needs blending into rear panel but there isnt any damage onm the rear panel it just gets quite close to it. Montys of sheffield reckon it will be roughly £250 if they dont have to touch the rear panel. I wondered if anyone new of any good body shops in the Yorkshire preferably West Yorkshire that might do it Cheaper. i presumed if it wasnt Subaru it would be cheaper.

Cheers Guys/Gals

You could try Flying Colours 0800 433687 - mobile scratch fixers.

I saw them in action at my dealers the other day and they did a good job on some random scratches on a WRX.

maybe a silly question, but have u tried t-cut compound?

Managed to back the car into a hedge a couple of days ago and got some scratches as a result.

Used normal cutting compound on the scratches first which didn't make much difference and then applied a stronger compound. This one worked okay.

Scratches gone.

May be worth giving it a go, so long as some of the paint is intact.

Red face

Be very careful using rubbing compounds on Scoobys. The paint is that fecking thin you could easily rub through to the primer etc!!!!
I know someone who did this whilst trying to remove a sractch

Thanks for the advice i think the Compund could be worth a try, If it damages the paint i have lost nothing, as it has to be painted anyway? Is it Called "T-CUT Compound" as i tried normal T-Cut and it did nothing?

Thumbs up

Try Scratch X from Meguiars used it on my DBM to get rid of scrathes as you use it the abrasives break down so does not add any more scratches.
