Red face

Just been told my MY01 + PPP is worth around £12.5k as PX at dealer.

It's 18 months old and has 22k miles on the clock.

So thats a depreciation of nearly 50%. Anybody else seen similar figures for PX'ing MY01's.

Its what you get for buying new cars.

Don't worry you aren't the only one and it doesn't really which make/model you buy.

Shop around - that price tells me the dealer does n't want it. He'll retail that at 17k assuming late Y\51 plate, so you should be looking at 14-15k before he reduces his profit.

Listers have come up with a sensible PX value of £14,500 - £14,750 against an STi7. Just got to make sure i get a good deal on the finance package to bring it in to my budget of £500 p/m.

Personally I'm shocked that there is a dealer trying to sell a STi 7 for £26995 on Autotrader!!!!
Maybe they mean £269.95?

Mr M
I went to our local Subaru dealer last month and his advice was dont try to sell yet because the market is unstable due to the new model. His advice was to hang on until june/july and things should settle down.Basically what he is saying if he gets loads of MY02's traded in they will be given a low price because there will be loads available and not many buyers hence the price drop. The dealer wont lose out! we will ! HANG ON IN THERE

I'm hoping that means that people will either want an MY03 or an old classic-shape version, so classic's won't depreciate so fast... Or is that just me clinging to hope (and trying not to think about how much less my MY00 is worth already after only 6 months).
