Track days - wear and tear
#2
Thats hard to answer.
It depends a lot on how hard you drive. You will certainly notice increased tyre wear, but the brakes is down to you, some circuits are harder on cars than others.
The Nurburgring is fairly sympathetic on cars, and Donnington, especially if they use the GP circuit can be very hard on brakes.

My old JDM CTR did 30 + Trackdays, and 48000 miles, still drove as well as it did 5 years ago when I bought it , still on std Clutch aswell, and used slicks.
Countless pairs of discs and pads thou
It will have a bigger effect the heavier the car.

Does depend how you drive though & how you treat the day...
You will wear tyres (especially) and brakes at a quicker rate than normal - no escaping that.
I guess I must've done about 1500 track miles by now - normally do 150 per visit, give or take 50. If it were the case that it was x100 then, my car should be severely knackered, rattly and losing power, but it is not. Mileage reads 50K and there are very few rattles (Leda apart ) & the gearbox/transmission etc seems fine and the rest of the car is still 100% reliable.
I think that I drive smoothly, don't overstress/rev the engine and treat the day as fun, rather than a race.
I also know of cars of simillar mileage & track vintage that have had blown engines and two or more gearboxes.
If you drive your car hard, it will suffer more. I'm sure there are people out there who are harder on their cars on a daily basis than I would be on track and the resulting failures show that.
Front wheel-bearings can also be weak on scoobs.

I reckon one track mile equals 10/15 Road miles as an average for brakes and Tyres. but Totally depends on the circuit and average open pit lane track day is about 120-160 miles. IMHO
